Did I make a huge mistake?

I got microdermals below my collarbone today and now my boyfriend is so mad he doesn't wanna come over. I sent him a pic and he says he never EVER wants to see them on me. They're small little clear gemstones, nothing flashy. How can I get him to calm down and accept me for more than my appearance?
