Where is the most famous place in Bangkok to buy natural gemstones?

Most famous? not sure but there used to be some places on New Road that were considered reputable - though if you are looking to do this for business purposes, there are better places, known for wholesale and polishing stones etc.. hopefully you have a good bit of knowledge first -
