So I want a cartilage piercing?

How much do they hurt? I've read not very much, but I'd like to hear more opinions. Also, how bad is the pain afterwards? Like, would it hurt to sleep on it? And in the future (when I'm 18) I plan to get dimple piercings (don't know the legit name for that), so I'll go ahead and ask how much those hurt during and after, too. Thanks in advance!
